Function Developer (Instrument Cluster & HMI)

We are looking for a Function Developer for a position located in Pune, India, starting immediatley.

Job Purpose/Role

As a member of our team you will have the following tasks:

  • Develop/enhance distributed functionalities for the instrument cluster such as Vehicle Information, Vehicle Configurations, Driver Information, Navigation, Digital Speech Assistant, Smart Phone Integration, Radio / Media, etc.
  • Develop/Support concepts and software development for the new driver working place for Conventional, Autonomous or electric driven vehicles.
  • Develop state of the art feature concepts in form of prototypes, specifications, requirements and SW
  • Support the development of HMI concepts and graphical designers for displays of the instrument cluster
  • Supervise external development partners who support you in your work
  • Take responsibility in all project phases for requirement specification & development
  • Exchange with working teams
  • Developing of methods, tooling and acceptance criteria
  • The candidate would need to interact and align with global group companies and external partners for development areas.

Your qualifications

Must Have

  • Experience in field of infotainment, instrument cluster and/or automotive bus systems 
  • Advanced experience and extensive programming knowledge in SW development using QT, CGI Studio and C/C++
  • Sound knowledge of embedded software and real-time operating systems
  • Know-how in the area of communication networks and signal transmission in the automotive environment (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, etc.)
  • Experience in working with Jenkins and/or Gitlab.
  • Flexibility for international travel (e.g. 3 months)

Good to Have

  • Good understanding of various development Processes related to E&E
  • Strong knowledge in automotive electronics and product development
  • Able to handle Version and requirement management tools like JIRA, Confluence etc.
  • Knowledge of model based programming tools like Matlab/Simulink is advantageous
  • Ability to work independently and in a goal-oriented manner
  • Communicative and team-oriented personality

Language Skills

Must be fluent in English
