Battery Development Engineer

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

As a member of our team you will have the following tasks:

• Work with the 3D modelling & drafting of casting, sheet Metal and assembly in CATIA.  
• Create concepts for the next generation battery pack developments.  
• Awareness of latest battery & cell technology in market.  
• To perform FEM analysis to validate the components.  
• To perform tolerance stack up analysis with good understanding of GD & T.  
• Material selection (aluminum, steel, composites) based on strength, weight, cost, and thermal requirements.  
• Coordination with suppliers and cross functional team.  

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have

• Qualification: B. Tech / M. Tech in Mechanical engineering / Automobile engineering or Similar.  
• Experience Range: 1 to 4 years.  
• Good Knowhow of Battery pack components and eMobility system & their functional requirements.  
• Knowledge of casting, sheet metal, extrusion & machining processes.  
• Knowhow of design guidelines for designing HV system.  
• Advanced knowledge of CATIA V5 is must.  
• Problem solving skills and creative mindset to develop innovative designs.  
• Good analytical skills are must.  
• Good Communication skills.    
• Understanding of thermal and structural fundamentals.  
• Clearance and creepage analysis understanding.  
• Good to have experience in OAS (Open Architecture System), ENOVIA and its integration into design process.
