Special Application Engineer

JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

As a member of our team you will have the following tasks:

• Design and documentation for Special Applications-Customer/homologation demand of market.  
• Design retrofittment solution compliant to Body building technical guideline/special application.  
• The candidate would need to interact and align with global group companies and external partners for development areas.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

Must Have

• Qualification: BE/ ME:- Mechanical / Automotive / Design  
• Experience Range: 5 to 8 Years  
• Good Hand on experience in Windchill and CATIA V5 for 3D/2D Creation.  
• Strong knowledge in Commercial Vehicles-Truck and its application.  
• Experience in Vehicle integration and good knowledge of truck aggregates.  
• Strong Knowledge of vehicle packaging and integration of truck aggregates systems.  
• Knowledge of Design for manufacturing/assembly/service.  
• Knowledge of Design for retrofittment solution.  
• Knowledge of Catia simulation -Structural/Model analysis.  
• Experience in simulation result understanding and providing solutions.  
• Knowledge of Local and global commercial vehicle level homologation norms.(UNECE/GB/KMVSS..).  
• Hands-on experience in defining and executing validation plans (vehicle/component level, durability testing).  
• Experience in supplier coordination, drawing reviews, and quality assurance.  
• Proficiency in maintaining change management ,design documentation, BOM creation.  
• Knowledge of cost optimization and design-to-manufacture methods.  
• Experience working in Agile or model-based development environments.  
• Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams (CFTs).  
• Good Cross-Communication skills, presentation skills and Team player.  
• Able to work independently.  
• Good Hands-on experience on MS Office.  
• Flexibility for international travel.

Good To have  

• Understanding of Product development process.  
• Understanding Electric vehicle and its aggregates.  
• Understanding Vehicle Electrical system.  
• Understanding of Automations(VBA/CATIA macro/programming).  
• German B1/B2 level language knowledge.
